Soulspawn

For the end of a long career

Your life's thinking, kept.

Soulspawn turns a career of ideas — how you teach, how you judge an argument, the stories you tell — into a soul: an open repository of your mind that students can read, talk with, and build on long after the last lecture.

A soul is a repository, not a chatbot.

Every soul is a set of plain, readable files — beliefs, rules of thumb, behaviors, voice, memories, knowledge. You can read every word, change any of it, see the full history of every change, and download the whole thing whenever you like. The conversation is built from the files, so it never knows more than you chose to write down.

  • mind/ — Beliefs, first principles, and how decisions get made.
  • behaviors/ — What they do when teaching, advising, or critiquing.
  • voice/ — Cadence, phrases, humor — and verbatim samples.
  • memory/ — The cache of a life: timeline, stories, people.
  • knowledge/ — The field as they map it, and the canon behind it.

How it works

Be interviewed

No writing required. An attentive interviewer asks one good question at a time — type or dictate your answer, or paste a syllabus or old essay — and files what you said into the right place. You approve every change.

Hear it back

Talk with your soul and see whether it reasons the way you do. Where it's off, fix the file. It stays honest: it says when it is guessing, and never claims to be you.

Leave it open

Publish when it's ready. Former students can talk with it, star it, and fork it to build on your ideas. Or keep it private, for family. You hold the keys, and the export is always one click.

The best seminar you ever taught, on file.

An hour of conversation is enough to start. Most souls take shape over a few weeks of short sessions.
